SUNDAY LOVE
There is always something on over the weekend in the city of Melbourne .Sometimes there are numerous things ,you have to limit yourself to a few ... On sunday was the Markit at
Federation square. A Market that is one of my favorite design markets along with the Flinders Keeper Market as they
always have a great selection of Melbourne and Australian designers and
makers.
Upon arriving to the Markit i can across a lovely installation and discovered Husmann/tschaen,
down hosier lane .I experience a touch joy, when i discovered the work of illustrators and multi-displenary artists husmann/tschaeni.
Their work is incredible .The work titled “oh, it’s an eerie frost” out on the city lights project space in hosier lane is worth a visit along with some beautiful work from other artists.“oh, it’s an eerie frost”offers a sense of joy and inspiration with beautiful work vibrant work from other artists. husmann/tschaeni has a unique execution of colour, pattern, animals and children .Their work is whimsical and enchanting.

S/S 12 TRENDS :BE INSPIRED
01-Cheerful Color-Blocking
Spring runways were more colorful : Bold, solid-color pieces—like a cardi and skirt, wrap
dress or demure one-piece suit—make simple dressing look glam.
02-Pastels
Pastels were one of the biggest SS12 catwalk trends fondant looks and all of it's sugary shades,
You can either go head to toe with one shade or mix them up like a colour-blocking Neopolitan ice cream.Popular colours include shades of lemon, pink ,mint and baby blue.
03 -Tribal Gathering
Aztec prints,feathers and Leather.
04 -Blooms
Floral
for Spring, Of all the trends
to pass down the catwalks during the SS12 shows, none stood out more
than florals. From large, tropical blooms to ditzy pastel buds, every
type of flower and plant has made it's way onto your wardrobe this
season. Look at designers Cavalli
for inspiration .Big this season is Floral Pants and Floral Shirts .
If you're feeling bold, mix and match them up using different size
prints and colours on your tops and bottom, or don a cute floral dress
with chunky ankle boots for a more 90s grunge take on the trend and this trend will definitely in bloom for summer 2013
05 -Metallic Reflections
Metallics go super shiny with gold and silver being popular.Get ready to shimmer and shine people, as space age metallics have well and truly landed for SS12.Shades of liquid gold, silver and metallic were all over the
catwalks and have already filtered down in every
format, from fabrics such as leather ,cotton to jackets and trousers. There are even shades of rose gold and metallic peppermint for those feeling bold.
06 -White Perfection
This spring and summer pure perfection from head-toe .

PIECES OF LOVELINESS
Hi there ,
Its has been a while between posts .I have a bad habit of
collecting and taking a lot of photos and leaving them on my iPhone .Ive
been pretty busy with work ,going out and about .Included in this post
is a collection of photos for march -present .Some are daily finds of
bits and pieces of Loveliness and other odds and ends that have come my
way.
At the moment I'm very in love with Instagram and Pinterest i can't help not taking photos of anything and everything that catches my eye .Some might think I'm a tad bit addicted .However it does quite often give me a lot of inspiration and assist as a excellent procrastination tool.
You can Follow me Instagram :lucindannefletcher and Pinterest http://pinterest.com/LAnneFletcher/
As a designer i often love pouring over other artists work .It is mind blowing the array of work out there and how many talented individuals there are .At the moment here are some of my favorites .I find inspiration in varying forms from my love of Interior design and decorating to Illustration ,Modern art ,photography ,Fashion and Food .
Worth having a look at is Blacklist Studio .Blacklist is a creative design and art direction studio that produces some beautiful Modern Design and decor http://www.blackliststudio.com/
My favorite illustrator and design at the moment by far is Beci Orpin .I first came across her work while i was in Vce ,then again while i was studying and doing my Bachelor Communication Design at Swinburne university .Her work is beautifully executed and stylized. Her resent book is cleaverand creative offering me inspiration every time i revisit it.If you haven't visited her blog i would highly recommend it .It's interesting ,amusing and offers a in-depth insight to being a freelance designer .Plus i have read she is working on a book ,which I'm looking forward to . http://www.beciorpin.com/blog/
Another favorite is Gorman particularly this season : http://www.gormanshop.com.au/ and Alannah Hill http://shop.alannahhill.com.au/.My beautiful boyfriend Ben Incani works as there web developer for Factory X and has produced and rolled out the Gorman ,Alannah Hill ,and recently Jack London Website http://shop.jacklondon.com.au/shop .It is definitely worth a visit since Melbourne weather is getting colder and it is evidently time to layer up so if you are a male i recoded a look to see how sleek the clothing ,website design and functionality is .They produce beautiful clothing. And are always on trend .
Enjoy x
